At around  10.30am the course began with an Ice Breaker exercise whereby a ball was thrown around and the students were asked to introduce themselves to the rest of the group.
From the Ice Breaker, Ms Salaamat started explaining what communication is with the correct ways of talking and why it is so important.
Around 11.30 we started the relaxation and breathing and then watched a short film and discussed the correct forms of communication.
From 1.00pm the lunch break started where people were able to socialise and network in the event till 2.00pm.  The course commenced with an expression exercise, this was followed by learning different standard procedures including making a request and a complaint. This segment also involved role play.
After the short tea break the programme followed on with a listening skills exercise; learning how to listen to an order as well as also listening to making a complaint.
Ms Salaamat ended the course with a one to one counselling session and another meditation exercise.
The event was wrapped up by Ghadeer Zaini on behalf of Babylon Trust. Oral and written feedback was taken from the participants.
The morning began with the Babylon Trust team preparing the HDF Salam House for the attendees of the course and also welcoming Ms Salaamat Yousif the teacher of the programme
